Honor Flight Columbus ( has been sending our most senior veterans, at no cost to them, to Washigton, D.C. for a one day trip to see their Memorials.  Polar Bear Alumni hosted the Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk starting at Rememberance Park, OSU ROTC Facility and finishing on Our Hagley Field 50 yard line, Sunday Novemver 9, 2014, to raise funds for this worthy organization. Maj. Gen. Deborah Ashenhurst (Class of '77) was the keynote speaker for a post race program where the Vietnam Veterans Plaque (seen below) was formally dedicated.  Our goal was to raise at least $50K, the cost of one flight. Vietnam Veterans Plaque

This is the plaque honoring North High Graduates who served and were either KIA or MIA during the Vietnam War. The plaque will be presented to PBAA at North On The Fourth 2014 for display in the Main hallway at North. It has been graciously donated by the NHS Class of '66 in rememberance of all those who were lost.

On July 4th, 2013 it was announced that the name of Columbus International High School was being changed to Columbus NORTH International School. To learn more about them, please CLICK HERE to access their website.
